Confessions of an Instant Manifestor
Here is a short story about how fast my intentions were manifesting on this particular occasion. It was as if the whole thing played out like a movie, but perhaps it was all just a coincidence? How would you explain it? Read the story below and you be the judge. Be sure to comment and feel free to write me your opinion.
On this night I decided to go out on a late night drive. It was an absolutely beautiful night outside and perfect for driving with the convertible top open. I admit that was a little reluctant at first, not because of the weather, but only because I wanted to keep working. What eventually tipped the scales for me to get out there was that it was Saturday night.
After I left my garage and exited the alley I immediately spotted two white rabbits. Actually, they were a bit more brown than white at this time of year. Anyway, the point here is that whenever I spot a rabbit while driving I feel like it is a sign of reassurance that I am doing what I am supposed to.
I’ve spotted many rabbits in the 12 years since I started paying attention. Keep in mind around my city that spotting a hare isn’t that rare or odd in any way. These ‘Jack’ rabbits are in fact quite common where I live. But since I am free to create my own reality, I have chosen to regard crossing paths with rabbits as a symbol of fate. I view it as a reminder from the unseen that I am exactly where I am supposed to be.
Yes I realize that this association is completely fabricated and I don’t care. I had to consciously manufacturer this mental pay-off, but I feel the rewards I can barely describe are well worth it. I’ve been feeding this belief system now for over a dozen years.
On a side-note it is interesting to note that in one of my favorite movies, The Matrix, the main star ‘Neo’ is encouraged by another character named ‘Trinity’ to “Follow the White Rabbit”. Imagine you are me for a minute and you have already been following the white rabbit for years before this movie came out, and all of a sudden you hear that phrase symbolically used in one of your favorite movies. Yeah, I was pretty stoked to say the least!
When I saw the two Rabbits I knew that I was meant to go for this late night drive. Since I knew I was “on purpose”, my thoughts turned to the thought that maybe there was some one ‘out there’ who needed me to be on this drive. I concluded by deciding that if I came across someone I would offer them my business card.
As I continued to drive down the street I came to the stop sign at the end of my block and was shocked to see a young girl on the sidewalk crying. Just 10 seconds ago I decided to help someone and now this girl? Was this a sign? I couldn’t be sure, it seemed a bit weird to manifest an intention so quickly… but since I like to err on the side of caution, I gave her my card and drove off.
As always, it feels good too give, even if it is to a random person. Sometimes kind acts from strangers can change people’s lives. In my case, she was very receptive to taking my card which made things easier. However even though I left with us both smiling, it wasn’t long before my ego had a word to say about it.
My ego started chirping all sorts of negative thoughts, among the noise it had me questioning whether or not I should have done that, I mean what kind of weird coach hands out their business card after midnight anyway? Thankfully my doubts were removed when I saw another rabbit on the next block over. I thought to myself as I spotted the second rabbit “wow! what a great story to tell my readers!”
As I was contemplating the composition of this blog post I had the thought of.. well, what else could top that?” I thought for a moment that maybe I should drive back home because the excitement and adventure for the evening had already manifested. Little did I know the most interesting was still yet to come!
Before the thought of what could top my night could leave my mind something caught my attention. I looked out at the night sky while driving and saw a shooting star travelling parallel above the car. It lasted at least a good one and a half seconds. While it was pretty exciting to see, what was even more interesting to see was the pattern on how quickly things were manifesting right before my eyes.
Continuing on my drive at the top of a hill I spotted a parked dark blue Ferrari, or so I thought… When I actually approached it and drove by I realized that instead it was a blue Nissan 300zx. However, as I verified the car model in my rear-view I approached a stop sign and had to yield to a real blue Ferrari. Keep in mind this was at 2:00am in the morning on an otherwise barren road!
I had enough, this was simply too coincidental to occur by chance. Two rabbits, a girl in need, a falling star and a Ferrari in under 20 minutes was hard to wrap my mind around. I am used to manifesting as a master manifester, but even with my level of belief it usually takes some time. The manifestations were instantaneous and in-sync with my intentions.
I don’t believe in coincidences and have never seen this many manifestations occur so quickly. At first I wondered if somehow I got transported to the Twilight Zone! Have you noticed your manifestations occurring more quickly lately? If you are still learning the process of manifestation how would you like to manifest more quickly? What would you manifest if you could manifest quickly? What are your thoughts and opinions about this story?
Imagination Wins the Stanley Cup
After the dust settled at this years NHL finals, the winner came down to the team who imagined having it with more conviction. Convincingly, that team was the Pittsburgh Penguins, and they were lead by the imagination of their young captain, Sydney Crosby.
After accepting the Stanley Cup as the youngest NHL captain to hoist it, 21-year old Crosby confirmed the importance of both your dreams and imagination when he told NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman: “It’s a dream come true… It’s everything you imagined and more.”
And imagine this scenario in his mind he did… Crosby has admitted to dreaming of hoisting the Stanley Cup too many times to count, although if you asked him, I’m sure he would admit it was a small price to pay to eventually be able to experience the feeling in real life. Dreams come true when you are passionate enough about making them happen.
People often want the results they can imagine but they are just not committed or capable of doing what it takes over time to achieve those results. To get the results we want in life we must offer up an equivalent of value in exchange. In Crosby’s case, it was his determination, resiliency and willpower that showed and told the universe that it was him who wanted this reality more than anyone else.
There are a lot of factors to be considered when it comes to winning a sports title. It can’t be based on dreams alone, because there are as many imaginations genuinely intent on winning Lord Stanley’s cup as there are players in the NHL. When there are multiple candidates and only one reality, like in sports or the lottery, the winner is the person who is imagines their success most clearly and confidently.
When it comes to winning things like awards, sports titles, and even the lottery, the winner is simply determined by the person who is able to demonstrate that they want it more. And why shouldn’t the Universe work on this principal? Deep down inside we all know that a reward system like this is fair, reasonable and beneficial for everyone.
For example, if you had a priceless antique that you had to give away, if given the chance to choose, you would probably prefer that the person already had some appreciation of antiques to begin with correct? Similarirly, if you had to give your prized pet away you would want to ensure it went to an animal lover over animal abuser. The Universe is no different, it wants to make sure our desires are genuine before rewarding us.
When you desire something but lack the willpower to get it success is unlikely. However, when your willpower and your desires are aligned nothing can stop you. People and professional athletes often become unstoppable when they use a crystal clear vision of success to drive their willpower. Anything you can conceive (desire) and believe (willpower) you can achieve.
Hockey legend Wayne Gretzky used to imagine the puck going into the net moments before he shot. Tiger Woods, one of the most dominating forces in Golf wins because he imagines being the greatest golfer alive. Not only does he believe in his vision, he also has a clear definition for what exactly that means.
You can model the success of athletes like Crosby, Gretzky and Woods by taking a page out of their imagination playbooks. Take a moment and think about what your favorite idol, mentor or hero(ine) has done that you would like to do. How did they go about getting it done? How did they use the power of visualization to aid and assist them along their journey. How can you apply or adopt the same principals to help with your success?
I’m not sure the name of the team that will win the 2010 Stanley Cup, nor can I tell you who will be the captain to hoist it come June. What I can tell you is that as you read these very words the winner is already earning their right to win by first winning in the realm of imagination. If you can imagine it possible you can take steps everyday to make it possible.
Have you downloaded a copy of “The 7 Imagination Misuses” yet? In it I describe in detail the 7 most common mental blocks that prevent people from getting exactly what they want. How would it feel in your life if you could re-structure your subconscious so that is is programmed for automatic success? Changing Negative Talk to Positive Phrases
What is within, so without. Our inner world creates the outer circumstance and shapes the events that we experience. Our inner world consists of our thoughts, and beliefs. A belief is a thought with a feeling associated with it. We can consciously choose to change either our thoughts and beliefs at any time and by doing so we can improve the quality of our experiences.
Every time we possess a feeling or experience an emotion – of any kind- we have chosen it. If we chose to feel negatively and believe a thought – then we have chosen to be a product of bad thinking. A thought can produce an emotion only if you believe it to be true. Believe it or not holding onto a thought and creating a feeling is a choice, just like it’s our choice to insert a new one.
Like water that overflows when it is being displaced from a container, the human mind can only hold one thought at a time. We tend to believe the mind holds more because it functions so rapidly. This is just an illusion of your experience. The truth is you can displace any unsupportive thought in the conscious mind with a more positive or productive affirmation. With practice you can begin to do this at any time.
To intercept stinking thinking before it lowers your confidence you need to become aware of our internal dialogue, or self-talk, you have with yourself. Listen to your self-talk and what you are saying to yourself inside your head. What do you tell yourself? In what tone of voice? How does it make you feel?
What you project forth into the world reflects back. This is also known as what goes around comes around and the notion of Karma. If you express love and you will receive love. Be respectable and gain respect. How do you expect to love if you do not first love yourself? How do you expect to treat others with respect if you don’t respect yourself foremost?
Pay attention to your self-talk daily. Are you a nurturing coach or a alarming critic? Do you reinforce your own success or negate it? Does your internal dialogue help grow your results or shrink your potential? Do your thoughts magnetize or de-magnetize your ability to attract success?
Here are 21 common self-talk phrases, how do you speak to yourself most often?

Manifesting Enlightenment
As you know if you’d read any of my previous posts that I like to write about manifesting and attracting. The range of things that I manifest is incredible, and I share them not to brag or impress you, but to impress upon you that anything is possible. If you have had success attracting something you desired into your life, feel free to write me, I always love hearing stories about other peoples journey into conscious creation.
I have been consciously manifesting my reality since 1997 and since then I’ve honed my skills, learned the universal laws that govern our collective reality, am dedicated to showing committed people how to get what they want. If you want it bad enough there is always a way. If there is a will there is a way is a start, and I can show you how to master the rest of the equation.
Tonight I was outside thinking about a few ideas for blog posts and what might be cool to describe the process of manifesting to you the reader. As I looked up I noticed it was a little dark on my street and as I looked up realized that the light standard outside my house was off. The rest of the lights down the block were on so there was definitely power.
When it comes to manifesting things, most people go for money, sex or power, but for a master manifester like myself, I wanted to remind myself that everything truly is connected. Turning on a lamp post across the street seemed like a perfect opportunity to do just that. Maybe I was influenced from watching ‘Micah’ from the T.V. show Hero’s because I looked at the light and told it that I wanted it to be “ON!”
Amazingly it took less than 2 minutes to turn the light on after concentrating on the light. I focused on the outcome, the rush and sensation I would get as I typed to you all, sharing this amazing experience. Remember this is a fifty foot tall street lamp across the street from my house. I do openly admit that at about the one-minute mark, my mind (ego, subconscious) entered into the picture with it’s criticisms and judgements. I did my best to keep them quiet with the statement: “Thanks for sharing”
I had to consciously refocused my thought and direct it towards belief. Here is where having some form of documentation such as a manifestation journal, or anchor from previous successes comes in handy. Don’t leave it up to the mind to determine how good you are, take my word if you haven’t realized it by now, your ego is a poor judge of character.
Instead I filled up my cup of belief by affirming that my goal was possible, plausible, probable. To me this isn’t something supernatural, because of the belief that everything is connected. I focused my attention to the belief that I live in an interesting and interconnected universe in which incredible things tend to happen. I was rewarded with a gut-feeling that silently confirmed my intention would be served.
Next what I did was stare at the dark lamp and visualized it turning on. Next, I imagined the light cascading down to the ground and illuminating the street below. I pictured seeing the spiked haircut of the grass that was currently covered in a blanked of blackness. I saw myself smiling back at the grass in elation when the light was illuminated.
Feeling the emotion is probably one of the most important aspects to manifesting what you desire. If you cannot feel emotion for what you want, ie. gratitude, excitement or some form of happiness, then why would you expect it to show up? Do you make a habit to visit people that are miserable, inconvenienced and ungrateful about you coming over? I didn’t think so.
In this particular case I focused on the feelings of excitement, joy, adventure. How exciting it would be to write to you the reader that this actually worked. I would be joyful that my manifestation skills and level of belief is growing. The whole process from intention to manifestation occurred in under 5 minutes. I visualized what an abundant adventure it is to be able to manifest at will!
The final step in the process is one that will require continual practice. You need to patiently sit back and relax in order to avoid feeling any ‘pressure’ when what you’ve asked for doesn’t show up yet. I know, if you are like me you want things yesterday instead of tomorrow, but feeling anxiety, worrying, and doubting does not help anything show up faster. In fact, these emotional states will only hinder the manifestation process.
What I did to demonstrate faith and patience was turn 180 degrees around and stare at a tree. This way I could give this street lamp a chance to turn on. If I kept staring at the light waiting, I wouldn’t be allowing any opportunity for it to happen, minus of course the split second in-between my blinking. I took my attention of the fact that it wasn’t happening and completely ignored the intention to turn on the light for a moment.
When I broke my thought train lost in the tree I turned back around. Much to my delight the standard was on and the light was brightly illuminating the street. Was I shocked?… No, OK, slightly… only because the time in which manifestations occur is increasing, I’m sure if you have been manifesting for a while you can confirm this. I definitely was I excited to come back and share this story with you all!
And for the record by the time I walked 5 steps back to my porch and looked back, I caught the fading glow of the lamp returning to it’s off position. It didn’t matter to me if the light stayed on or not, and thinking about it from one point of view, this way the light almost said, “Are you happy, good cause I’m done lighting up for you!” Haha!
OK seriously folks… how was I able to do this? Was it another big coincidence that the light turned on in sync with my intention? Maybe this was a blinking light that was on a pattern and I happened to step in right before it blinked? Was it also just a coincidence that the light turned off as I walked back to the house? What do you think occurred in this case that allowed me to create the exact blog post I intended?
As for me, I don’t believe in coincidences, at least not between most types of relationships. Everything happens for a reason and that reason is based on intention. When there is intention behind reason there is a result. In order to change your results then you have to work on your intention and reasoning. These two are the keys to masterfully manifesting your desires and dreams.
Begin by developing an absolute faith that what you have asked for will show up in due-time, albeit perhaps not according to your intended schedule. If you would like to learn the in’s and out’s of manifestation first hand, drop me a line and let me know what you’d like to create in your life. I cannot promise you that you will be able to manifest in 5 minutes, but I can show you how to become a magnificent manifester.
Winners Delay Gratification
When it comes to getting what you want in life you can have “Smaller Sooner” (SS) or “Larger Later” (LL). Smaller sooner implies that we take less of what we deserve for the convenience of having it now. Larger later simply means that we have reserved the patience required to receive abundant results. If you are a winner by this definition then you could easily pass the marshmallow test.
During the 1960’s, psychologist Walter Mischel conducted what became known as the “the marshmallow test” with four-year-olds in the preschool at Stanford University. The object of the exercise was to assess each preschooler’s ability to delay gratification. Each child was given one marshmallow. They were told that they could eat it immediately or, if they waited until the researcher returned in 20 minutes, they could have two marshmallows.
Some kids in the group just couldn’t wait. They gobbled down the marshmallow immediately. The rest struggled hard to resist eating it. They covered their eyes, talked to themselves, sang, played games, and even tried to go to sleep. The preschoolers who were able to wait were rewarded with two marshmallows when the researcher returned.
Twelve to fourteen years later the same kids were re-evaluated. The differences were astonishing. Those who had been able to control their impulses and delay gratification as four-year-olds were more effective socially and personally as teenagers. They had higher levels of assertiveness, self-confidence, trustworthiness, dependability, and a superior ability to control stress. Remarkably, their Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores were also 210 points higher than the “instant gratification” group!
(All of the above is on page 97 of the fantastic book: “Growing the Distance“, by Jim Clemmer)
WINNER WIN BECAUSE THEY MAKE A HABIT OF DOING DIFFICULT TASKS THAT MOST PEOPLE AVOID!
“We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons.” ~ Jim Rohn
The bedrock of character is self-discipline; the virtuous life, as philosophers since Aristotle have observed, is based on self-control. A related keystone of character is being able to motivate and guide oneself, whether in doing homework, finishing a job, or getting up in the morning. And, as we have seen, the ability to defer gratification and to control and channel one’s urges to act is a basic emotional skill, one that in a former day was called will.
Are you a winner? Do you have what it takes to delay gratification? How would your attitude benefit from a 7-step process to restructure your subconscious?
Who Do You Think You Are?
Who do you THINK you are? Really?…
When you take a moment and ask yourself that question, it is your identity that provides the answer. How you answer will depend on who you think you are. Your lifestyle and life choices both depend on who you think you are. Is it time to get to know yourself?
If I was asked this question 3 or 4 years ago the answer would have been dramatically different then it is today. In time I have come to see through the illusions of my understanding of myself and my true nature. Now in order for me to describe to you who I am, I must first begin by telling you a bit about who I am not.
My full name is Russell Kirby Small. Interestingly enough yet insignificant, had I been born a girl, my father wanted to name me China… Thank goodness I came through as a boy! Whatever name you have isn’t all that important, because whether in whole, or in part, a name does not describe who you are.
I came into this world on this day, July 10th, just over 30 years ago to an African-American father and a Chinese-Canadian Mother. However, I do not consider my age, race, or birthday to be part of who I truly am.
I was born at 7:00AM on the seventh day (a Sunday back in 1977) of the seventh month, in 1977. One of my favourite numbers is 7 can you guess why? Still, my favourite things do not tell you who I am either.
I am a SAIT graduate in Business Administration Marketing, a Certified Subconscious Restructuring Life Coach, and I’m committed to constantly learning and growing. But yet again, I don’t believe my education is who I am.
I am a fearless fire-walker who has walked barefoot across 1,200 degree burning hot coals. I believe in mind-over-matter and can demonstrate this belief. Still, none of my accomplishments or aspirations will tell you who I truly am.
In love seeing my life coaching clients breakthrough limiting-beliefs. I’m an Entrepreneur who is passionate about developing multiple passive streams of income. But you guessed it, neither my job or my passion can define who I am.
In fact, I don’t believe I am my thoughts, my mind, or my body.. which I bet that leaves most of you wondering, “who does this guy think that he is?” Well many years ago I would be tempted to say I am just another human being trying to experience spiritual enlightenment, but now I believe this to be backwards.
You are looking at me now as a spiritual being having a human experience. As this spiritual being I would like to briefly share with you 3 characteristics that describe the essence of who I am.
1. I am timeless. I come from a source that has existed long before we came to inhibit this Earth. This presence exists simultaneously inside each one of us, and will exist for long after all of us are gone. I’ve always had this inner feeling that time was a man-made illusion, experienced by the mind played to us from the projector screen of our own perceptions and beliefs. The best example of this belief would be a movie I recently watched starring Rachel Weiss and Hugh Jackman called “The Fountain”.
2. The second quality about being a spiritual being is the abundance. I came from a creator that is everything, everywhere, all knowing, all consuming, and every flowing. One of the best quotes that put this concept into perspective was said by Dr. Wayne Dyer “An infinity of forests lies dormant within the dreams of one acorn.” We are a part of this abundance and we can physically manifest it into our lives if we first allow it. I used to tend to focus on scarcity and lack, what I didn’t have and what was missing in my life. I now have come to appreciate all the abundance that surrounds us.
3. The third thing that describes my spiritual nature is that I am a part of ever-lasting change. Change is everywhere and the only constant. For example the cycle of the seasons, the phases of the moon, and the ebb and flow of the tides. I am a part of something that is ever changing. Even the North Pole, the star that for thousands of centuries has pointed North and allowed our explorers to navigate the world will soon be replaced by another star that reflects a more accurate north.
The best identity to develop is always having an attitude about life that is open to anything and attached to nothing. Our emotional tendency to attach judgement based on individual perspective has corrupted our ability to believe we are all one in the same. When you label or judge something we negate it of anything else. Hopefully I’ve given you some food for thought so the next time someone asks you, “who are you”, how will you answer?

Why and How a Stranger Knows You Best…
Stranger knows best: Other people know more about what will make us happy than we do
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Want to know what will make you happy? Then ask a total stranger — or so says a new study from Harvard University, which shows that another person’s experience is often more informative than your own best guess.
The study, which appears in the current issue of Science, was led by Daniel Gilbert, professor of psychology at Harvard and author of the 2007 bestseller “Stumbling on Happiness,” along with Matthew Killingsworth and Rebecca Eyre, also of Harvard, and Timothy Wilson of the University of Virginia.
“If you want to know how much you will enjoy an experience, you are better off knowing how much someone else enjoyed it than knowing anything about the experience itself,” says Gilbert. “Rather than closing our eyes and imagining the future, we should examine the experience of those who have been there.”
Previous research in psychology, neuroscience, and behavioral economics has shown that people have difficulty predicting what they will like and how much they will like it, which leads them to make a wide variety of poor decisions. Interventions aimed at improving the accuracy with which people imagine future events have been generally unsuccessful.
So rather than trying to improve human imagination, Gilbert and his colleagues sought to eliminate it from the equation by asking people to predict how much they would enjoy a future event about which they knew absolutely nothing — except how much a total stranger had enjoyed it. Amazingly enough, those people made extremely accurate predictions.
In one experiment, women predicted how much they would enjoy a “speed date” with a man. Some women read the man’s personal profile and saw his photograph, and other women learned nothing whatsoever about the man, but did learn how much another woman (whom they had never met) had enjoyed dating him. Women who learned about a previous woman’s experience did a much better job of predicting their own enjoyment of the speed date than did woman who studied the man’s profile and photograph.
Interestingly, both groups of women mistakenly expected the profile and photo to lead to greater accuracy, and after the experiment was over both groups said they would strongly prefer to have the profile and photograph of their next date.
In the second experiment, two groups of participants were asked to predict how they would feel if they received negative personality feedback from a peer. Some participants were shown a complete written copy of the feedback. Other were shown nothing, and learned only how a total stranger had felt upon receiving the feedback. The latter group more accurately predicted their own reactions to the negative feedback. Once again, participants mistakenly guessed that a written copy of the feedback would be more informative than knowledge of a total stranger’s experience.
“People do not realize what a powerful source of information another person’s experience can be,” says Gilbert, “because they mistakenly believe that everyone is remarkably different from everyone else. But the fact is that an alien who knew all the likes and dislikes of a single human being would know a great deal about the species. People believe that the best way to predict how happy they will be in the future is to know what their future holds, but what they should really want to know is how happy those who’ve been to the future actually turned out to be.”
Gilbert’s research was funded by the National Science Foundation.

Question: How can you organize, help, or contribute to something that will make a warming effect on the lives of at least one person? Two people or a group would be even better. The more the merrier with this challenge!
I want to hear from you, please leave your comments, share your ideas, and let us know what you did or have done to make a difference.
Please feel free to share the video or link with your friends and loved ones!
